    Reward: Jeff Gannon information

    By

(Update: The reward is now $20k as of 03-02-05)

    Have you seen this man?

A wealthy Washington socialite is offering a $10,000 reward for proof that Jeff Gannon (pictured), an allegedly gay kinky-sex prostitute / escort / white house reporter / GOP operative, has had any type of sexual, or romantic, relationship with any top-ranking Washington official(s) -- or proof that he engaged in any illegal sexual activities or favors.

    Background on the case

The news on the Jeff Gannon case broke when he lost his White House correspondent credentials after some left wing blogs published links to gay military porn, featuring photos of him.

Gannon, whose real name is James Guckert, says (in a Newsweek article to go to print Feb 28) that what has happened to him is "political assassination." He has has singled out the Media Matters quasi-blog that focuses on the political affiliations of US media outlets, although John Aravosis of AmericaBlog is another possible lawsuit target, as he posted links to Gannon's image on gay military porn sites.

It remains unclear how Gannon got White House press access for almost two years (first in early 2003 as a GOPUSA [a group led by Texas GOP activist Bobby Eberle], and more recently for Eberle's Talon News blog), but one thing is for sure: Jeff Gannon is on the lips of every insider in Washington D.C. And many say he's been kissing some of them, too -- for $200/ hour and $1,200 / weekend. His profile appears on several escort websites. One site says "he leaves no marks, only lasting impressions."

So, I ask again -- have you seen this man? Have you slept with this man? Do you know this man?

A local socialite, who wishes to remain anonymous, has teamed up with this site to offer a $10,000 reward to anyone that can provide hard proof.

We are looking for evidence (photos, phone pictures, locks of hair, DNA on a suit) that Jeff Gannon had any type of sexual, or romantic, relationship with any top-ranking Washington official(s) -- or proof that he engaged in any illegal sexual activities or favors.

    - See the Jeff Gannon Archive
    - Email tips to gannoninvestigation@kellyanncollins.com

I will post more information about this later, others have contacted me, offering to sweeten the reward.

How exciting, Kelly! I wish you success in your partnership in unraveling a juicy scandal...Second terms are a curse, and Bush is going to learn just how frustrating the next four years will be.

Jeff Gannon was in the White House BECAUSE he was a gay prostitute, not in spite of being a gay prostitute.

    Party on, Karl!

And how are Paris Hilton and/or Tara Reid connected to this scandal?

I can sense the PR rep for Paris is drooling nearby and Tara will no doubt stumble into the mix drunk.

    No substitute for real journalism
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com

There are some lessons to be learned in the Jeff Gannon-Jim Guckert scandal – for the press and for the politicians.

Guckert is a right-wing political activist with a seriously compromised personal life. Somewhere along the line, he decided the best way he could make a name for himself or help spread his "conservative" political ideology was to pose as a journalist.

He got a boost from a conservative political organization that founded a faux news organization called GOP USA.

GOP USA arranged with Guckert to become its White House correspondent under a pseudonym, Jeff Gannon.

Once the organizers of GOP USA realized its very name betrayed its agenda, they hastily retooled a second sister outfit called Talon News. Guckert then apparently was able to continue seamlessly to get his daily White House press passes representing Talon News, despite using the phony name and despite the fact that he was leading a double life as a would-be purveyor of homosexual pornography and $1,200-per-weekend stud services on the Internet through now defunct websites such as Hotmilitarystuds.com, Militaryescorts.com and Meetlocalmen.com.

Maybe the reason the White House didn't mind looking the other way when it came to Gannon-Guckert was the fact that he was only too eager to lob softball questions at press conferences.

Who knows why this symbiotic relationship succeeded for as long as it did? Perhaps Gannon-Guckert knew something about people in the Bush administration. Or, perhaps some inside the Bush administration knew the truth about Gannon-Guckert. We may never know the full truth.

But the whole sordid affair illustrates just why a truly free and independent press is so vital to watchdogging government.

I have no doubts that the people who launched Gannon-Guckert in his ill-fated journalism career probably looked at the success of WorldNetDaily and said to themselves: "We can do this. Any one can start a website and claim to be a news operation, get access to government and use this platform to spread our ideology, befriend politicians we like and buy influence with politicians. It looks easy."

However, what the political activists pretending to be journalists never understood – and still do not understand to this day – is that you can't fool everyone.

WorldNetDaily has succeeded in reaching millions and influencing the rest of the media because it does not pretend. I founded WorldNetDaily only after working inside the news media doing everything one can possibly do for more than 25 years. WorldNetDaily's mission is to telling the truth – no matter whose ox is gored. WorldNetDaily hires only serious and experienced journalists with the highest standards of ethics – both in their professional lives and their personal lives.

That's the WorldNetDaily difference – something easily missed by political activists who want to hitch their wagons to the New Media trail blazed by WorldNetDaily and WorldNetDaily alone.

Oh, sure, there are other efforts. But I would submit to you that all of them have, unfortunately, more in common with the Gannon-Guckert media model than with the WorldNetDaily model.

There is no substitute for good journalism. There is no substitute for seeking the truth. There is no substitute for upholding high ethical standards. There is no substitute for fierce independence.

What the pretenders did backfired. They have hurt their own ideological cause more than they know. They have tarnished the image of the administration they championed. They have undermined the cause of the responsible New Media and the free press in America.

You might remember the two-year fight WorldNetDaily waged to become credentialed by the Senate Press Gallery. Meanwhile, an activist organization – pretending to be a journalistic one and ensnared in personal scandal – pranced into the White House and secured access to the president of the United States.

It raises serious security questions. It raises questions of propriety. It raises questions of judgment. And it raises questions about the role of a free press in a free society.

KAC, people want to donate money to increase the size of your reward fund! I would recommend that you get together with John Aravosis at AmericaBlog.org to set up an escrow account. In case no one ever comes forward let people know that the funds doanted will be given to a specific charity. Maybe Jeff Gannon will give the info and earmark the money for charity too!

Hello. I am surprised that nobody caught on what dubya said when he was reselected. He stated loud and clear, that he had a man date. Now this Guckert dude pops up. Man date? Interesting...

Since dubya himself admitted that he had a man date, you could send the money to him. But then, there are people that REALLY need the money, so why don’t you publish dubya’s confession and send the money to some non-faith based organization to fight AIDS, perhaps.

    Sincerely, - Malgoska.

Hey, how about someone create a web site where all the truth seeking netizents could donate a small amount, say 10 bucks, to a "reward" fund for such activities. $10,000 is a good idea, but doesn't go very far when you're asking someone to challenge Rove/Bush Inc. Heck, how about trying to raise a million bucks to pay off our favorite military stud to come clean and do a tell all!!!

When Ohio was going down, the internet easily raised 100K+ in less than a week for a recount.

Let's buy Gannon's services!!! He's demonstrated time again that he doesn't want to fade into the wood work and he's willing to do just about anything for money - right now he's trying to sell his old militarystud.com domain names.

So could some web savy guys hook up with a trusted blogging site and get a donation site going with a trusted trustee and let's get this story!!!

Are you kidding? This evidence will prove invaluable! Forget DC. The international market will command a much higher sum, not to mention provide the protection necessary to bring this evidence forth.

$10G is a barely acceptable way to air the issue, but it's obviously nowhere near enough.

All the sex-stuff over Guckert is fun fun fun, and everybody knows fun is #1. But let's not miss the primary issue: an individual with no legitimate credentials managed to recieve security clearance from the FBI and the Secret Service, as well as view classified documents; document ranging from pre-war plans for the Iraq invasion to the outing of a CIA operative (treason), and a number more in the middle. This is a major breach of the nation's security guidelines. This is impeachable material, not the sex stuff.

In November 2004, Justice Through Music, www.jtmp.org posted a $200,000 reward for info about electoral fraud and that resulted in the whole electoral reform movement that has swept the country and congress the past 60 days. Larry Flint did the same thing during the Clinton impeachment proceedings. This is a good idea, but it has to be publicized. Also, a donor does not actually have to give up the money, only pledge to give the money if certain criteria is met. If those are not met, the money does not need to ever change hands.

Really, the book/movie deals are waiting, but we can't wait. This has the potential of bringing down the worst leader in the history of man. Any reward that gives incentives for clues NOW is welcome. But if Guckert doesn't speak out soon, his story will most likely be post mortem, and his heirs will be the only ones profiting...

Just a thought about AKA Jeff Gannon.

For several years apparently, Mr. Gannon/Guckert was plying his gay male escort trade over multiple Internet sites. At the same time, Attorney General John Ashcroft was using expanded surveillance powers under the Patriot Act to crack down on Internet prostitution. Hmmm.

Kind of strange, don't you think, that Gannon/Guckert's and John Ashcroft's paths didn't cross? Shouldn't Gannon/Guckert have been serving time for on-line prostitution activity instead of attending White House press conferences? That is, if Ashcroft and the FBI were properly doing their jobs, of course, and going after all internet prostitution rings, including male.

Also, I read that Washington D.C. has some strict anti-prostitution laws. Has the D.C. DA begun an investigation into Gannon/Guckert's on-line male prostitution activities? During Watergate, Woodward and Bernstein followed the money to break it wide open. I would love to know if the D.C. DA has subpoenaed Gannon/Guckert's bank deposit records and charge card records to see who may have paid him for "services rendered," especially anyone in the White House.

Moreover, since Ashcroft went after on-line prostitution rings so vigorously, has the Justice Department started an investigation into Gannon-Guckert and subpoenaed his financial records? What?? They aren't doing anything?? Why not??

Follow the money and undoubtedly we'll find out what in the Gannon Affair has the Republicans running so scared.

As long as the Republicans control EVERYTHING in DC there will never be an investigation. This same thing happened during the Reagan/Bush years, where 15 year old male prostitutes were given 1:00 a.m. "Private tours" of the White House, and nothing came of it because the investigation was canned when Bush 41 was sworn in, and ALL of his papers are locked up in his library. Just like the Caspar Weinberger stuff about Nicaragua etc.

    At 4:31 AM, Anonymous said...

Offering a reward will undermine the credibility of anyone who does come forward.

It would be better if they just came forward because they have info like the guy who had the invoices for the escort site.

If he had been paid for that info, it would have received even more criticism and skepticism.

Besides, there are much better things to do with 10 grand. Perhaps it could be used for an investigative journalism grant.

The democrats I know say Social Security is solvent through 2042 by conservative estimates and 2052 according to other estimaes and that with slight alterations to the ceiling and SLIGHT modifications, the fund can be secured nearly indefinately.

Plus Sherlock, if you have actually read any of the ideas being passed around to piratize Social Security, you'll see that the roughly 66% that you might get to play with, isn't yours to keep anyway.

And that is because it's the most sucessful social program in the history of this country.....and during the 90's we had a robust economy under Clinton which built up supluses instead of the miserable excuse of an economy that we have with Bush. Consider how many jobs have been sent over seas since 2000 and calculate the contributions to Social Security that went with them. The workers are still here!!!! And they will eventually retire here. Maybe we should have a tariff on the imported crap from China to compensate the Social Security Trust Fund for all those lost jobs.

Who doesn't realize that we have private retirement accounts now for younger workers. It's called IRA's, Keogh's, Annuities, and 401K's. And maybe Bush could sweeten the deal and those accounts too, but to take away the very bedrock of the retirement security we all as Americans expect amounts to nothing more than embezzlement from the American people. Just ask the people from Chile or Argentina and a couple other countries in Europe who wish the hell they never went down that path. Just think about it..........

Let's hope the reward flushes out some Gannon lovers who are Conservative Republican Senators up for re-election in 2006 -- about 10 would be nice. If the Dems can get committee chairs they can launch the kind of investigation the Reps used to impeach Clinton. I can hardly wait.

Best wishes for a successful hunt! It would be WONDERFUL to have at least one aspect of this terribly corrupt administration exposed for the liars and cheats that they are! James needs to become the poster-person for the Republican Party as a reminder of just how 'compassionate' Rove and Co. are.

    Re: Democratic intolerance.
No. It's the Republican HYPOCRISY, Stoooopid! WE don't try to pass laws or Constitutional amendments sanctioning bigotry; or propagate lies about political opponents' sexuality (Cf., Hilary C.); or use as a political weapon, with gulls and naifs as cannon fodder, bigoted election-day referenda, all the while KNOWING WE WERE that which was being attacked in said referenda!
    GOT THAT, OXEN?!
It's YOUR SIDE that tries to isolate/marginalize/stigmatize gays, and NOW YOUR SIDE is caught with its proverbial pants down in HIGH PLACES.
I'll bet Rove is squirming for more than one reason right about now.
(He'd better pray that JDGuckert isn't JDGosch. I think there's pedophilia under this boulder.)

As for Social Security: You must not have read the fine print about what the Bush Plan will do with the set-aside moneys: Like, TAKE IT, and DEDUCT from it. Want to know more? READ MORE.
P.S. If you're actually concerned about SS solvency, here's a tip: Lobby for a progressive tax structure, you know, from the top down, instead of the bottom up (to $90,000). That way, the system would get more $$;, the rich would become more "invested in" their Homeland, like good patriots ought to desire; and Bush could stop stealing from it to pay off the Chinese and Japanese, to whom he has made us indebted.
Ah, never mind; they're switching to Euros, and the good times are soon to be gone.
    Invade Iran!

As an "outsider" (Canadian) reading the blog sites I keep thinking that this is all too weird ...
What if...Gannon is a Bush setup and Gannon actually has something on a Democrat?

Gannon does talk alot like Rumsfeld though...he asks himself a question just like he does so maybe pillow talk is contagious?

KAC, how is the digging cumming along? I am muy curioso! I want to everything about Jim/Jeff....what's his shoe size? Boxers or Thongs? Does he shave his head, back, ass, scrotum? What's his favorite pudding, pie, brand of mouthwash? Does he watch the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, a Simple Life, Spongebob? Where does he workout, does he shop at Sephora or Blue Mercury for his skin care products? Is he going to buy a loft in Adams Morgan or does he aspire to live in Watergate? Does he drive an SUV or cab it? Is he a big tipper or does he order thru drive thru? Which inaugural ball did he attend. Is it true that he parties with Sally Quinn, Helen Thomas, Judge Joe Brown? And finally and most importantly, is he taking a date to the White House Correspondents Dinner, if yes, who?

Can you post these answers by... Monday?

You know, that Canadian has some good insight and we oughta take heed from our good friends to the north. They somtimes have a better perspective on things that us Yanks do.

For all you GannonGate investigators out there, there's good news......Jeff Gannon has a website back up under the same domain he used at Talon. The web site is jeffgannon.com and his e-mail address is: jeffgannon@jeffgannon.com. A word to the wise.....this could be some kind of mis-intended ploy from the Rove corp i.e. damage control or who knows........

Hey doesn't Olberman have some left over cash from AndreaGate that he could put forward on Washington Socialite's reward? Go get 'em!!!!!

This gay male hooker is President Bush's "inside man" who got "back door" access to the White House "Staff" and press conferences to be a "pitcher" of "soft ball" questions . What would the religious right to life Republican hypocrites say if this were a democrat ?

I guess Gannon's e-mail link must have crashed because the link on his new site is now inoperative. I wonder if he disabled it or was he just so overwhelmed with e-mail that his box is filled.

Any one checking out the church connection over in Falls Church, VA and Union Station, D.C.? And where is that hacker who got into Paris Hilton's phone....we need you!

    Hey Qxen-
You (and Ann Coulter) are trying to play the "I thought you liberals liked gays" card. fact is, we consider them to be human beings and as such deserve to live their lives as they see fit.
The real (avoided) issue - it is illegal to have sex for money.
The fact that this anti gay administration has a link to a gay hooker is just icing on the cake.

TKE looks like they have a weak list of alumni and a strong argument for a homosexual den of secular humanists if you ask me. :)

Is it bad that Gannon is gay? No. Is it despicable that he is a liar? Yes. Is it frightening that he is given access to the American Citizens' White House based on those lies? Yes. Is it worse that Bush, Rove and their ilk make no bones about how much they hate gay people and go out of their way to do their level best to destroy gay people and turn gays into second-class citizens? Absolutely. Let's face it: At a minimum, Karl Rove is gay. Ask any gay man. You look at him, you know he's gay, plain and simple. Let's get a reward out there for proof of that. Then let's go after the rest of them in the same manner. Is it bad they are gay? No. Is it completely unforgivable that they go out of their way to demonize gays in order to deflect attention from their own homosexuality? Without a doubt, it's the lowest of the low, and it's the oldest game in the world, folks. People who don't want to be found out to be gay will go out of their way to put gays down. Gannon is just one card in this house of cards. Let's hope that by pulling his card out, the rest of them will topple.

CatCiao asks "Do you really believe that $10,000 will get someone to open their mouth?"

More print was put out on A costume malfuntion at the super bowl;and two congressional hearings were called. They wanted to investigate A hanging titty and the excitement of the fans. But no hearing on A prostitute named Jeff Gannon aka James Guckert.,Who possed as A Journalist in the white house. This guy gives true journalists like Armstrong Williams A bad name.

Intriguing isn't it, what a little slip up (pun intended), can do.
If Mr. Gannon/Guckert (or whomever he is) wanted to bring down the democrats here's a soloution! He could have slept his way (if he hadn't already) with as many powerful democrats and written a book about it.
It's not so muh what he does/did that is offensive but his continous denial that grates the most.
