What's your perfect Sunday like?

Kelly Ann, I'm a fabulous girl and Sunday is the most fabulous day of the week. What's your perfect Sunday like? Alanah
Dear Alanah,
Ahh ... Sunday. It definitely is the kindest day of the week.
Your email just reminded me of this Maroon 5 song called Sunday Morning:
Sunday morning rain is falling
Steal some covers share some skin
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
You twist to fit the mold that I am in
Love that song.
Your email also sparked a humorous Sex and the City Carrie-quote:
There are very few things this New Yorker loves as much as Sunday brunch. You can sleep until noon and still get eggs anywhere in the city, alcohol is often included with the meal, and Sunday is the one day a week you get the single woman's sports pages: the New York Times wedding section.
OK ... back to your question, Alanah. :-)
I have two perfect Sunday morning favorites ...
One involves warm weather, blueberries, a fluffy robe, dolphins at sunrise ... and my laptop. (Gotta have my Net access.) :-p
The other scenario involves staying in bed until noon and then Bloody-Mary brunching with friends on the sidewalk outside Peacock Cafe in Georgetown.
Thank you for submitting that totally Sundalicious question, Alanah.
With fabulousness,
KAC

How hot are these D.C. bloggresses?

KAC - How would you rank the following women according to hotness? Jessica Cutler, Ana Marie Cox, Kelly Ann Collins. Sincerely, Phil from playazball.com
Dear Phil,
Here is how I would rank your D.C. bloggresses:
- Ana Marie Cox - because she's smart, looks like an angel and smells really sweet.
- Kelly Ann Collins - because this is me and I say I'm hot like second on this list.
- Jessica Cutler - because she thinks being Republican "means you're against crime."
Blogospherically yours,
KAC
Why'd you leave the blogosphere for so long?

Dear Andrea,
I left the blogosphere for so long because I needed a break.
My last blog focused on Washington nightlife. So, in order to do a good job, I had to immerse myself in nightcrawler culture. I went to 10 (sometimes up to 20) events a week, blogged about my experiences, did media appearances, etc.
Yes it sounds like a fun job, but it was exhausting.
I was down to about four hours of sleep per night, dropped down to a size "00" because I was so stressed, needed bodyguards to protect me from the crazies, and just felt tired all the time.
But despite all of this, some of the people around me kept pushing me to keep that lifestyle - and the blog - for their own selfish reasons. As a result, I stuck with it way longer than I wanted to ... for them.
While I was socialiting, I met a lot of great people, had some fabulous experiences, dated some weirdos, started some blog trends, almost made it to court, threw some wild parties, made some enemies, went on the auction block for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, got my own caviar bagel ... and a tour bus. But, when the whole full-time party-blogger gig stopped being fun for me, even my fake see-I-am-having-fun smiles stopped and I was just like "take the photo, already!"
So finally, I put myself ahead of those who clearly did not care about me and said enough is enough. And then I shut the thing down and moved on to do better things - after sleeping and relaxing for like ... six months! :-)
If something stops being fun ... what's the point of doing it? Girls just wanna have fun!
Living the happily blog after,
KAC
Is my fiancee crazy?

KAC - My fiancee says she doesn't want to have kids because it will ruin her figure. I know she is a non-traditional woman, but I want to have kids some day. Do you think she will change her mind? Is my fiancee crazy? - "Tex"
Dear Tex,
Uhh - Houston, I think we have a problem.
I do not know if she will change her mind (and I do not know if she is nutty). But I would like to suggest that you make Carly Simon's You're So Vain your wedding song. (Just kidding ... I think.)
It is her body and she can do with it what she pleases, but if you want children and your fiancee doesn't ... that is a major red flag. Better talk this one out before the rodeo, cowboy.
Best wishes,
KAC
Do you have a boyfriend?

Dear Geoff,
No, I do not have a boyfriend. I do, however, have many friends that are boys.
Singled out,
KAC

Do you take yourself seriously?
Dear Ali,
Ha! As far as this site goes ... it is just a fun thing to do. If I took myself "seriously" I would not have a site called "Ask KAC," now would I? ;-p
Happily ever after,
KAC

Your favorite D.C. lounges?

Dear Lynda,
Right now, I like a few places.
- Mate in Georgetown is a good pre-party spot -- especially when either DJ Yakov or Angry Peruvian Eric Sudol is spinning.
- Degrees and the CityZen lounge are always good bets.
- Another good loungey place is Lima. All the nightcrawlers are slinking there. It is the new early-night scene to see and be seen in D.C.
- But no matter how hard the Gtown and Penn Quarter newbies try ... places like Gazuza and Dragonfly are fixtures near Dupont Circle - and home to many lounge lizards.
- For late night fun, I have been into either Play or EyeBar on Thursdays. Not sure if it's the cute door guys or the smart DJs that keep me going back ... again and again and again. :-p
Cheers,
KAC
Why can't I see your photos on Yafro?

Dear Sarah,
You cannot see my Yafro moblog pics because some dumb troll marked several of my tres nice photos as offensive. Freaks. Whatever. Phooey on the haters, I say. They will not ruin our day! A fellow Yafroian is on the case. ;-)
Meanwhile, to curb your camera photo cravings, here is one of the "censored" pix ... a lovely snapshot that was taken by a very intoxicating man @ K Street Saturday night. My friends (pictured) and I had a total blast -- and we burned some major calories in the process. We figure that we danced for at least four hours straight ... and downed about 22 cute bottles of VOSS (K Street's H2O of choice). My feet were still sore today (which made today an official flipping-my-shoes-off-under-the-desk day).
Guess that's what I get for late-nighting the stilettos. But then again ... some heels were made for exercising!
Welp, there's your answer Miss Sarah. Thank you for asking!
Virtually yours,
KAC
Thought I wouldn't make it?

Ha! Just seeing the cute little a.m. video roundups on Ze's page for the first time.
And nope - we didn't think you'd make it, Z.
Oh -- but wait a minute there, Mr. Frank ... that's the same way I felt Thursday morning! How weird! How freakay! Maybe there's some wacky virus going around that makes your puke smell like hotel shampoo and day-old vodka? BECAUSE MINE LIKE TOTALLY DID! (Weirdness.)
Just another one of those blog things that makes you go hmm.
(Oh -- and I am totally teasing. *As if* I'd drink an alcoholic beverage on a school night! I only drink yummy H2O on school nights.)

What's your favorite drink?

Dear Dan,
What's my favorite drink? Hmm ... I'd have to say H2O. I drink it like I am 70% liquid or something. :-P
The only time I do not like water is when I am swimming. *cough*
And I can't stand to drink it when I am sick. *yak*
Fizzy or flat. Perrier or Dasani. Lime or lemon when it's sparkly.
Thank you for asking!
Sparkly regards,
KAC
